Bristol weather: How long the cold and frosty weather will last

The start of the week has brought cold and frosty weather to Bristol, with temperatures overnight dropping to -1C.

And the freezing weather is set to continue into the middle of this week, as temperatures are set to reach peaks of 7C today (January 20) and 5C tomorrow (January 21).

By the time of Wednesday, temperatures are set to rise again to highs of 9C, as the sun will disappear and cloud will drift in.

Below is the weather Bristol can expect over the next three days.

Today (January 20)

It's a very sunny day today after a frosty start with localised fog patches this morning. Some of the fog has been slow to clear in a few areas.

Into this afternoon, it will be a fine, dry and sunny winter's day. Temperatures will stay on the chilly side with maximum temperatures of 6C but could be even chillier in areas where fog lingers.

Tonight

It will be a clear and frosty night across Bristol tonight. Widespread fog and freezing fog is expected to develop throughout the early hours of tomorrow morning (January 21).

Under clear skies there will be a widespread frost everywhere with minimum temperatures of -4C expected.

Tuesday (January 21)

It's a frosty and foggy morning for many across the city on Tuesday morning. Much of Tuesday looks to be dry with plenty of sunshine into the afternoon.

Tomorrow will feel colder than today, especially where early morning fog is slow to clear with maximum temperatures of 5C expected.

Wednesday (January 22)

By the time of Wednesday, Bristol's cold spell is expected to come to an end.

As cloud begins to move into the city from Wednesday onwards, temperatures are expected to rise again to highs of 9C during the day. Minimum temperatures of 6C are expected overnight.
