Forecasters are predicting an end to the bright, warm, sunny weather that's dominated conditions this week so far - and there will be a noticeable change in the weather as a front moves across the country.
The unbroken sunshine of the past five days or so will come to an end, and Bristol will wake up on Thursday to a much cloudier picture.
A front of wet weather will arrive in Cornwall in the early hours of Thursday morning but the forecasters are predicting that by the time it reaches Bristol it may well have petered out in terms of any meaningful rainfall.
The forecast predictions changed a bit on Wednesday afternoon, as the front approached from the Atlantic.
Initially, the chances of rain reaching Bristol were put at more than 50 per cent during the afternoon, but overnight now, the Met Office forecast is that Bristol may well escape a shower and it will remain dry.
But the sunshine and warm temperatures are over - it will be a largely overcast day with grey skies and temperatures struggling to reach 18 or 19deg C by mid afternoon - that's a noticeably cooler five degrees C down on the past few days.
There will also be a noticeably stronger wind too - from the west rather than the gentle breeze from the north west of previous days.
The outlook for Friday is for rain likely in the early hours of Friday morning, but a largely cloudy and dry day, while on Saturday, anyone out and about with plans for barbecues and gatherings in the park had better take a brolly - everyone in Bristol will be dodging frequent showers in between sunny spells.
