Bristol weather forecast: How hot will it be this weekend?

There will be some scorching weather for some across the country this weekend but Bristol can expect some more mixed conditions.

Mirror Online reports that the mercury could peak around 27-28C in parts of southern England, including London and the Home Counties, later today (Saturday, July 18).

However the Met Office says temperatures are only set to reach 20C here in Bristol this weekend - and there's the odd chance of rain too.

Today's forecast from the weather agency reads: "A dry start with some sunny spells. Through the day, cloud will thicken with some patchy light rain or drizzle moving in later.

"There will be a moderate westerly breeze."

There will then be light rain and a gentle breeze tomorrow (Sunday, July 19), with highs of 19C expected.

The outlook for Sunday to Tuesday says: "Mostly fine and dry for Sunday, with sunny intervals and perhaps the odd shower.

"A moderate breeze. Feeling rather cool. Largely dry and fine again on Monday with sunny intervals and areas of cloud, although a few scattered showers may develop.

"Remaining rather cool. Tuesday is expected to be largely fine and dry through the day with just the odd chance of a shower or two."
