Bristol weather: Downpours to hit - this is the Met Office and BBC forecast for the week

The weekend brought the return of the sunshine in Bristol - but it's likely to get wet again today (Monday, July 13).

According to the Met Office, the day will start sunny before downpours hit at around 3pm.

There is an 80 per cent chance of rain from 3pm to 8pm on Monday, July 13 according to the Met Office, with it not expected to let up completely until the early hours of Tuesday, July 14.

The Met Office says: "After a mostly dry morning, outbreaks of rain will push eastwards across the region, with some heavy downpours at times. Maximum temperature 23C."

The BBC forecast is also predicting rain after a sunny start to Monday morning but once the wet start to the week is over, Bristol can expect some better weather again.

Both the BBC and Met Office are predicting a dry week - with cloudy weather forecast from Tuesday to Friday.
