Bristol weather: Bright and sunny start as cloud builds in the afternoon

Bristolians and the rest of the UK have had to endure some wet weather this August.

With Storm Francis recently battering much of the UK and bringing 60mph winds and rain, it will be a welcome relief for many to hear that today (August 30) will be different.

This morning is set to be a sunny one, but temperatures will be on the chilly side, only reaching highs of 8 or 9C throughout most of the morning.

Into the afternoon, cloud eventually begins to build across the city but temperatures will begin to steadily rise as the day goes on.

Average temperatures for the afternoon will rise to an average of 16C before more extensive cloud begins to settle in across the city from 5pm.
