Bristol weather: BBC says temperatures will plunge into single figures this week

Temperatures could feel a lot colder in Bristol tomorrow according to some weather forecasts, with lows back in the single figures after a sunny weekend.

BBC weather is forecasting light rain showers and a moderate breeze for Monday, May 23, with highs of 15 degrees and lows of nine. Minimum temperatures are forecast to stay in the region of between nine and 11 degrees for the rest of the week, with highs peaking at 22 degrees next Saturday (May 28).

This comes after the Met Office yesterday warned that the country could likely see rain and even thundery weather, due to low-pressure systems developing over the Atlantic being pushed towards the UK. The Met Office added: "Although there are still some details to be determined on the depth and timings of these lows, what we do know is that there’s some unsettled weather on the way next week, with some strong winds likely from the middle of the week, especially in the north.

Weather of this nature isn’t unusual in a UK spring, with changes in the jet stream frequently bringing interludes of unsettled weather.”
