A student in his 20s has died at a hall of residence in Bristol city centre.
Ambulance, police, and the fire service were called to Phoenix Court on Bond Street South yesterday (Wednesday, December 1), but sadly emergency crews could not save the man.
Police are carrying out enquiries on behalf of the coronor but say his death is not being treated as suspicious.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended an address on Bond Street South, Bristol, at approximately 1.20pm yesterday following the sudden death of a man aged in his 20s.
“The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and we’re carrying out further enquiries on behalf of the coroner’s office.
“His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
The Phoenix Court hall of residence near Cabot Circus is operated by Unite Students, on behalf of the University of the West of England (UWE), and can house up to 277 students.
UWE confirmed that the man who died was a student at the university.
A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a UWE Bristol student has sadly passed away at Unite Students accommodation in Bristol city centre on Wednesday, December 1. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends at this very difficult time.
“A full range of university support services have been made available to our student community and members of staff.
"We would encourage students or staff affected to access these services or call the Samaritans for support as soon as possible."
A Unite Students spokesperson added: “Our thoughts and sympathies are with this student’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We have been assisting Avon and Somerset Police with their enquiries, while working closely with the University of the West of England.”
