Technicians from Bristol Water are dealing with a problem in Crews Hole Road, St George.
Bristol Live has been sent a video of a jet of water bursting up to second floor level, near the Bull pub.
A Bristol water spokesman told us: "We are on our way.
"We believe it is a stop tap leak, they are under pressure and they can blow out.
"It is not a burst water main and no-one is out of water."
The spokesman said the problem should be resolved promptly.
