Bristol's Vx named third best vegan restaurant in the WORLD by Big Seven Travel

Bristol is a vegan's paradise with plenty of restaurants specialising in fantastic plant-based food.

There are a handful which frequently pick up praise for their meat-free offering - and one has just scooped its biggest accolade yet.

Vx Bristol is known for its indulgent vegan junk food offering, with a menu which includes mac 'n' cheese, burgers, kebabs, burritos and more.

The brand was founded by Rudy Penando and Amandine Tchou, who launched their first site at Kings Cross, London in 2010 before moving to East Street in Bedminster.

The French nationals also serve a delectable taste of their native country with a range of French pastries rounding off the menu.

It serves the 'best vegan junk food in the world'

Rudy and Amandine's south Bristol restaurant is a favourite for many across the city and it's only likely to get busier now, after it was named the third best vegan restaurant anywhere in the world by Big Seven Travel.

The renowned travel website has published a list of the 50 best plant-based restaurants on the planet and Vx Bristol is one of only five in England to make the cut, and the only Bristol inclusion.

The entry on Big Seven's website reads: "Vegan junk food is a somewhat new concept that ensures even plant-based eaters can treat themselves to a cheat meal every once in a while.

"And, Vx Bristol serves up the absolute best vegan junk food in the world.

"Head here hungry just so you can sample more than one dish. They’ve got mac ‘n cheese, BBQ ribs, steak frites and more. The owner of a seriously sweet tooth? Their massive oreo milkshake and coke floats don’t disappoint."

The only two restaurants to place higher than Vx are The Acorn in Vancouver, Canada and Lentil As Anything in Melbourne, Australia.
