A toy shop will open in Longwell Green next week.
The Smyths Toys Superstore will launch on Wednesday (October 28), the day before a Lidl supermarket opens next door.
A former Homebase site at Unit 1b Aldermoor Way Retail Park has been converted into two new units ahead of Smyths and Lidl moving in.
Smyth's will open at 9am on Wednesday, offering products for all ages including video games, bikes and baby items.
The store will also provide a same-day click and collect service.
Store manager Nathaniel Putt said: “We’re delighted to be moving into a brand new Smyths Toys Superstore in Longwell Green.
"We are inviting everyone to visit us over the few weeks. There will be great bargains you won’t want to miss out on so make sure you drop by.”
Lidl's launch will follow at 8am on Thursday. The supermarket was initially due to open early in the summer.

Part of the German chain's ongoing expansion plans across the UK, it has created around 40 new jobs.
There will be an in-store bakery at the shop as well as a customer toilet with baby changing facilities.
Lidl GB’s regional head of property Glen Stidever said: "We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Longwell Green.
"It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community."
During the first week, Lidl customers will be able to find exclusive deals and offers on selected products including a Silvercrest Espresso Machine, a Singer 2282 Tradition Sewing Machine and a Toshiba 43” Full HD Smart TV.
