Bristol's best independent clothing retailers in the city centre

2022 is around the corner, and there is plenty to look forward to.

From new café and restaurant openings to upcoming music and leisure events, Bristol will no doubt be offering a plethora of good quality material to pick from.

However, the city prides itself in supporting local, and just by strolling around Bristol Shopping Quarter, you will uncover almost 100 independent shops.

Amongst the 100 are an eclectic set of indie clothing brands for die-hard shoppers to check out.

A study conducted by Pure360 indicated the popularity of independent brands as consumers are three times more likely to shop more with independent stores than large shops in the next five years.

Additionally, 23 per cent of Brits have stated in Pure360’s survey that independent stores offer a personal touch that large retailers failed to offer, leading to the closures of larger retailers.

Beck Prior, the founder of indie eco-lifestyle brand Prior, said:

"The amazing positives of 2020/21 is how much indies have upped their game especially online. Independent shops had never competed with the big ‘faceless’ corporations, but this period of time has given us the confidence to shout louder.

"Independents will give you a better service and a far better product. I feel there are minimal boundaries now to independent shopping. There has been a growing movement to shop with soul, to purchase mindfully, to buy less and buy better.

"The pandemic has supercharged this movement, given us the opportunity to reach a wider audience and I’m really excited about the future of our shop."
