Bristol Rovers vs AFC Wimbledon player ratings with Westbrooke bright but Upson, Leahy below par

Joe Day - 8

Had almost nothing to do until the closing stages, making a crucial save to repel Ollie Palmer one-on-one. Then he denied Joe Pigott in similar fashion. before getting a crucial fingertip on Ryan Longman's cross as it threatened to sail directly in.

George Williams - 7

Steady again. Looked to be beaten a couple of times in the right channel, but he recovered well.

Alfie Kilgour - 7

When Pigott asked the questions, Kilgour had most of the answers. Kept the Dons marksman quiet for the most part.

Jack Baldwin - 7

Solid showing, though he may have been lucky not to have conceded a penalty after Pigott went down late on.

Alex Rodman - 5

A tad off colour after a run of good performances. Forced off in the second half with injury.

Luke Leahy (c) - 5

Struggled to impact the game in the final third like he has lately.

Sam Nicholson of Bristol Rovers. (Alex James/JMP)

Ed Upson - 5

Defensive work was solid, but he was poor in possession, with a late error gifting a golden chance to Palmer.

Luke McCormick - 6

Had a big chance to open the scoring saved by Nik Tzanev in the first half. Snappy work out of possession, but his manager would have wanted more from him in possession.

Zain Westbrooke - 7

Started brightly and was the author of Rovers' best passages of play. Created several good chances, but they were not taken.

Sam Nicholson - 6

Nimble movement and looked like creating the crucial goal all afternoon, but it eluded him.

Jonah Ayunga - 5

Quiet first half, with just one sight of goal, but his sliding effort ballooned over the bar. Drew an excellent save from Tzanev after the break, but he probably should have scored.

Subs

Brandon Hanlan (for Rodman on 66') - 5

Quiet 25 minutes for Rovers' top scorer off the bench.

James Daly (for Ayunga on 84') - NA

Not used: Jordi van Stappershoef, Max Ehmer, Cameron Hargreaves, Zain Walker, Pablo Martinez.
