Bristol Rovers v Bradford City: How to watch, team news, match odds and more

Bristol Rovers welcome bottom of the table Bradford city to the Mem on Saturday.

Both the Gas and Bantams haven’t won any of their last five games and will go into the game looking at it as an opportunity to end that run.

In Bradford's case it's an absolutel must-win encounter; six points adrift of 23rd place Walsall and eight from safety, with five games to go Gary Bowyer will need to mastermind a miraculous turnaround in form to keep City safe this season.

Bristol Rovers come into the game off the back of a battling 0-0 draw in Coventry and lie 16th just three points clear of the drop.

Team news and likely line-ups

Ollie Clarke could return to the Rovers side after missing out in Coventry with tonsillitis. The battling midfielder won Rovers Player of the Year award on Wednesday night.

Bradford winger Sean Scannell has returned from a fractured back having not started a game since October and was given 14 minutes by manager Gary Bowyer against Doncaster last weekend.

What the managers are saying

Rovers manager Graham Coughlan: “We have got a big couple of games coming up, we have got a big one on Saturday, we have got five big ones coming up, but I am as ambitious as the players.

“They are a tremendous group, we have got a bit of work to do yet, but I am very confident we will carry it out and finish the job.”

Speaking to the Telegraph and Argus, Gary Bowyer said: “It’s about personal sacrifices now. We’ve got to do everything we possibly can.”

“The first focus is obviously Saturday and then we’ll go game-by-game – but we’ve got to win all five. It’s a simple equation.

“That’s it now. Beforehand, there was all this uncertainty of how many points you need.

“The equation is clear now. We must win five out of five, for sure.”
