Bristol Rovers are set to have new sponsors for the 2019/20 season, Bristol Live understands.
Last season, Rovers were sponsored by Football Index, a betting platform that allows punters to buy and sell players like a stock market.
Football Index have now been announced as Nottingham Forest's shirt sponsor for next season in what has been called the biggest sponsorship deal in the club's history.
Whilst companies are allowed to sponsor more than one club, Bristol Live understands that Football Index will not be Rovers' front of shirt sponsor for next season.
The Gas had announced last summer that the betting firm would be sponsor for the 2018/19 season, and it appears that the deal has not been extended.
Instead, Rovers are likely to unveil a new shirt sponsor around the same time at they release their kits for the upcoming season.
It means the Gas have not had the same front of shirt sponsor for two seasons in a row since Cowlin Construction in 2007/08 and 2008/09.
With League One clubs not appearing on Football Index, some fans had felt their sponsorship of Rovers was a little incongruous.
As it is, they have now opted to sponsor Nottingham Forest, and Neil Kelly, CEO of Football Index's parent company BetIndex, was pleased to confirm the deal.
