Bristol Rovers target also wanted by Barnsley, Peterborough and Plymouth Argyle offered new contract at current club

Jay Lynch has been offered a new deal at AFC Fylde.

The goalkeeper is in high demand after a good season at the National League club, with Bristol Rovers one of a number of clubs interested in him.

Rovers face competition for his signature, though, with the likes of Barnsley, Peterborough United, Bury and Plymouth Argyle also linked.

Peterborough, though, recently signed Christy Pym, meaning they may no longer be in the race for Lynch.

However, he has now been offered a new deal at Fylde.

He is out of contract at Mill Farm and is available on a free transfer, and, aged 26, he is too old to be able to command any compensation.

Lynch has helped Fylde to the National League play-offs for two years in a row, and also was in goal as the Coasters won the FA Trophy at Wembley last month.

Rovers are now in the market for two goalkeepers, following the release of Sam Slocombe and Adam Smith last month.

They were in negotiations with Jack Bonham after his successful loan at the Gas last season, but he has instead signed for Gillingham.
