Bristol Rovers star Jonson Clarke-Harris recognised by EFL after sublime brace against Accrington Stanley

Bristol Rovers' talismanic striker has been recognised by the EFL after a brace on Saturday.

Jonson Clarke-Harris notched two fine goals - including a sublime overhead-kick - as the Gas were held 3-3 by 10-man Accrington Stanley.

The striker is the Gas' top scorer and the joint second top scorer in the division with four despite having missed the start of the season with injury.

He was at his beastly best on Saturday, first running through to rifle the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 2-2, and then putting his side in front with the incredible acrobatic finish after a poor clearance by the Stanley defence.

The performance has earned him a place in the EFL's team of the week, including players from League One and League Two during the international break.

He is joined by Wycombe's Joe Jacobson - who scored a hat-trick with a free-kick and direct from two corners - Kaikai of Blackpool, Coventry's Jobello and James Coppinger of Stevenage.

Sky Blues boss Mark Robins takes the reins of the fantasy team.
