Bristol Rovers set for cash boost as date and time confirmed for FA Cup tie with Darlington

The date and time have been set for Bristol Rovers' FA Cup second round tie with Darlington.

Rovers were drawn to face the National League North side in the second round on Monday, with Ben Garner's side rewarded for their 2-1 win against Walsall on Saturday with a home tie.

And now it has been confirmed that the game will take place at the Memorial Stadium on Sunday, November 29, with kick-off at 1.30pm.

However, fans will be able to watch the game, which will take place behind closed doors, after the match was selected for live multi-camera coverage on the BBC Sport website and iPlayer, as well as BT Sport digital platforms.

With the game being selected, both sides will now receive a broadcast fee of £37,500, which will be a boost to both League One Rovers and their National League opponents.

Darlington currently sit 19th in the National League North, with the County Durham side winning one of their three matches in the league so far this season.

Darlington beat Swindon Town away from home in the FA Cup first round at the weekend, with Adam Campbell netting both goals for the National League North side.
