Bristol Rovers have announced a friendly against Plymouth Argyle.
The Gas were set to play Cheltenham Town on July 27 - a week before the season gets under way - but the Carabao Cup draw last week scuppered the plans as the two teams were drawn against each other.
Opting against playing a friendly so soon before the two teams play a competitive game, the match was cancelled.
Now Rovers have instead announced a trip to Home Park on the same date to replace the Cheltenham game, in what should be a good test before the season starts.
Gas manager Graham Coughlan has close links with Plymouth, having spent four years at the club between 2001 and 2005, making over 175 appearances.
Bookies linked him with the Home Park vacancy following the departure of Derek Adams towards the end of last season, but he played down the speculation, insisting he was happy at Rovers.
Instead, Bury boss Ryan Lowe took the role and will oversee the club's first season back in League Two after they were relegated in dramatic fashion last season.
Plymouth looked all but safe going into the final run-in but a disastrous run of form saw them drop into the relegation zone.
The last time Rovers played at Home Park was in a ding-dong 2-2 draw in March, when Jonson Clarke-Harris scored a wonder goal before Gavin Reilly's last-gasp equaliser.
