Bristol Rovers player ratings with Joe Day and Jack Baldwin outstanding in Peterborough draw

Joe Day - 9

Unbeatable. Was very busy with Posh shooting on sight, but he was equal to everything fired at him. He also made sure he never parried anything into a dangerous area.

George Williams - 8

It is obvious to see why Paul Tisdale is a big fan. Rock steady at right wing-back and he chased a lost cause to almost create an opening goal, only for Nathan Thompson to block Brandon Hanlan's header on the line.

Max Ehmer (c) - 8

Experience shone through as he marshalled the back five superbly.

Alfie Kilgour - 9

Had the unenviable task of marking Jonson Clarke-Harris but Kilgour was dogged and determined. Read the game superbly to deny Siriki Dembele a certain goal on the line.

Jack Baldwin - 9

Oustsanding. Absolutely outstanding. Supported his midfield with some aggressive moves into midfield, in and out of possession and was warrior-like in his own third.

Luke Leahy - 8

Tireless. Got up and down throughout and defended manfully.

Sam Nicholson of Bristol Rovers hits the post. (Robbie Stephenson/JMP)

Abu Ogogo - 7

Battled hard on a tricky surface. Appeared to be close to breaking the deadlock, but Kent blocked his long-range effort en route to the top corner.

Josh Grant - 8

Perhaps his best performance for the club. Great work ethic throughout and showed the aggression Gasheads have been crying out for.

Erhun Oztumer - 8

Class personified. Had the bit between his teeth against his former team and made Rovers look so much more cohesive. Was denied a certain opener by some superb last-ditch defending by Frankie Kent, and then waved his magic wand of a left foot to play Nicholson in behind. The Scotsman's volley hit the post. Ran his race after an hour and was replaced.

Sam Nicholson - 8

His absence has been a huge problem for Tisdale and his return instantly made Rovers a better team. So unlucky to his the post in the first half with a superb volley. Quieter second half, but he always had the defence worried.

Brandon Hanlan - 8

Deserved a goal for a Herculean shift. Excellent all-round performance from the centre-forward, ratting away at defenders and holding the ball up muscularly. Was unlucky to be denied in the first half by Pym and in the second period on the line by Thompson.

Subs

Jonah Ayunga (for Nicholson on 69) - 6

Put himself a about.

Zain Westbrooke (for Oztumer on 69) - 6

Worked hard.
