Bristol Rovers player ratings as Daly scores but Westbrooke spurns big chance against Hull City

Anssi Jaakkola - 6

Did the bread and butter stuff well, as usual, and he could do little to prevent either of Hull's first two goals hitting back of the net. Sold short badly by Baldwin for the third in stoppage time.

Max Ehmer (c) - 6

Solid performance from the skipper, with very little being created down his channel.

Jack Baldwin - 5

Not his slickest performance on the ball, and he was unfortunate as he slipped in the build-up to the second goal. Horrible mistake for the third goal, selling Jaakkola short with the back pass.

Cian Harries - 5

Tough night for the centre-back. Lacked composure in his clearances and was given a hard night by Mallik Wilks.

Josh Hare - 6

Solid defensively, but didn't get a chance to affect the game going forward.

David Tutonda - 5

Sloppy in the first half, but was more assured after the break.

Josh Grant - 6

Was holding his own in midfield until Hull took hold in the second period.

Zain Westbrooke - 5

Missed a crucial chance to make it 2-0 seconds before half time, and it proved costly with Hull coming back strongly in the second period. His deliveries from dead balls were good, but he will lose sleep over that spurned scoring opportunity.

Luke McCormick - 5

The effort was there, but he had very little impact on the game.

James Daly - 7

Scored the opening goal in predatory fashion, nicking the ball off Josh Magennis and burying his chance, but it was a quiet night thereafter.

Brandon Hanlan - 6

Some good play in the channels, and he put the chance on a plate for Westbrooke, but he saw very little action in front of goal.

Subs

Erhun Oztumer (for McCormick on 72 minutes) - 5

Looked rusty and gave the ball away cheaply.

Sam Nicholson (for Hare on 82 minutes) - 6

Saw very little of the ball.

Not used: Jordi van Stappershoef, Luke Leahy, Alfie Kilgour, Ed Upson.
