Bristol Rovers head of medical services announces departure from club

Keith Graham has announced his departure from Bristol Rovers.

Graham has been head of medical services at the Gas since June 2016, serving under both Darrell Clarke and Graham Coughlan.

Yet Graham, who was previously a physio for Bath Rugby and at the London Olympics, handed in his notice in May, and his last day at the Gas was yesterday.

On social media platform LinkedIn, Graham revealed he had decided to step back from professional football.

He said: "So after a rollercoaster 3 seasons with Bristol Rovers, I made the decision back in May to make last season the end of my time in full-time professional football.

"I will be to devoting my time and energy to my family, my private practice and some exciting opportunities that I have been lucky enough to be able to commit to over the next year.

"Wishing Graham Coughlan and the lads the best for the rest of this season and all future endeavours."

It is the latest departure from Coughlan's backroom staff, which underwent a shake-up during the Rovers manager's first summer in charge of the club.

The likes of Joe Dunne, Kevin Maher and Adrian Tucker all joined Rovers, with coaches such as Jonny Henderson and Brian Dutton leaving.

Rovers have not yet announced a replacement for Graham.
