Bristol Rovers fans send message to former star after good luck message to Preston North End loanee

Bristol Rovers fans have cheekily asked Billy Bodin to return to the club after he sent a message to new signing Josh Ginnelly.

Bodin is a favourite among many Rovers fans after he netted 35 goals in 95 league games for the club, earning a move to Preston North End in January 2018.

Rovers yesterday announced that Bodin's Preston teammate, Ginnelly, had joined on loan until the end of the season, leading the 27-year-old to post a good luck message on Twitter.

It led many Rovers fans to ask Bodin himself to return to the club.

Ben: Please come back too.

Raz: Fancy joining him as well?

Giorgio Wrona: Come back.

Paul Rendell: Come back for a loan too if you want, mucker.

King Without a Crown: When are you coming back?

Alex: Come Back Billy. Need your skills to take us back to where we need to be

Larsson: Your turn now.

Billy Mackie: Why don't you join him Billy?

Yet any Rovers fans yearning for a return of Bodin may, in the short-term, be disappointed.

Whilst a long-term injury has limited him from having a major impact in his time at Deepdale, he returned to action this season and signed a new contract in October to tie him down to Preston until 2021.
