Bristol Rovers fans hit back after Coventry City and Birmingham City FA Cup draw

Bristol Rovers will face Birmingham City in the fourth round of the FA Cup later this month, if they beat Coventry City in their replay on 14th January.

For Rovers, however, the draw has already sparked a lot of controversy for all the wrong reasons.

The talking point in the draw is because Rovers and Coventry's number came out first, they will be the home side in the next round.

Although normally this is a huge advantage, it means that if Coventry win the replay, the Sky Blues will be hosting their landlords in their own stadium, creating an eye-catching scenario.

Jack Toulson: So if Coventry City beat Bristol Rovers in their replay they’ll be at home to Birmingham and Blues fans will have to sit in the away end of their own ground. The magic of the FA Cup.

Many Coventry and neutral fans are already fantasising about the strange tie, but Rovers supporters still believe that they should not be written off, and themselves, are now more determined than ever to prevent the fixture from happening.

Ryan Mignano: Everyone saying 'cOvEnTrY vS. bIrMiNgHaM' assuming we've been written off prior to the replay.

Dean Matthews: Don’t forget Bristol Rovers are still in it.

Bobby Moore: Coventry have got to beat Bristol Rovers first.

All eyes will certainly be on the replay, with Rovers heading to St Andrew’s in the hope of preventing an odd FA Cup twist.
