Bristol Rovers fan reaction: Performance a positive but replay 'last thing' Gas need after Coventry City draw

Bristol Rovers were held to a draw at the Mem today after taking the lead twice in the FA Cup third round tie against Coventry City.

Ben Garner's side were put ahead early by a Jonson Clarke-Harris penalty, before Liam Walsh levelled the score from 20 yards out.

Tony Craig scored to put the Gas up before half time, but then put the ball into his own net to cancel out his first goal.

It was a hot-headed affair, with both clubs committing more than 10 fouls, but it wasn't to be for either side who both remain in the hat for the fourth round.

Ben Garner's side now face a third round replay away from the Mem, and Bristol Rovers fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the game.

Many made the same point, and bemoaned the fact that Rovers will have to face another FA Cup replay. It'll be their third this year after replays against Bromley and Plymouth Argyle and fans think that the injured squad will continue to suffer.

Here's what they had to say:

@Schmeichel20: Not so bad but replays are never good for a team where like a quarter of the squad is injured.

Neil Davies: The worst possible result all things considered. The last thing this group need is another game, on the road, on a Tuesday night.

Owen Collins: Another replay

Sam: Great performance considering the injury crisis and how poor we were against MK. Could have won it easily.

James: Considering Cov have won back to back 4-1 away from home there’s positives.

Daniel Sheppard: Better by Rovers today. Another replay means another 1-0 away win in the cup right?

@BRFC Discussion: Obviously not ideal but we'll come good. Let's hope these new signings come in asap.

Glen Young: Disappointing having been in the lead twice but still in the hat.

Tom Leach: Jordi van Stappershoef (great goalkeeping name) for Bristol Rovers has been the best player on the pitch today and should take the headlines.

@ftblSocialist: If only Upson hadn’t hit the post
