Bristol Rovers have confirmed the signing of Josh Barrett from Reading.
The attacking midfielder joins the Gas from the Royals for an undisclosed fee, signing a two-and-a-half year contract.
He becomes Rovers' second new signing in two days following yesterday's arrival of Jayden Mitchell-Lawson.
Barrett announced his departure from boyhood club Reading yesterday, with it quickly becoming clear that the Gas were set to sign him.
The news has not gone down well among Reading fans, who were keen to see the 21-year-old integrated into the first team more.
Barrett, capped at Ireland under-21 level, has made 13 senior appearances for the Royals, also spending time on loan at Coventry City and Aldershot Town.
His signing is the latest move by new Rovers boss Ben Garner to reshape his squad and create a different style of football.
