Clifton restaurant Bar 44 is "devastated" after a coronavirus case forced it to close.
The Regent Street tapas bar confirmed yesterday (October 21) it will be shut until November 4.
It posted on Twitter: "We have never had to do this before and we are devastated, but we are doing the right thing by our team and our guests.
"It has come to our attention that there has been a Covid-19 positive case at Bar 44 Bristol. We are therefore following guidelines and taking precautionary measures in order to protect our team and guests.
"We have decided to close temporarily with immediate effect. We will reopen on Wednesday, November 4, in time for sherry week celebrations at 4pm.
"For those who have bookings prior to then we will be in touch today to rebook your tables. We cannot wait to welcome you back in November."

The business' Mercado 44 click and collect service will continue to be available on Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm.
Bar 44 shared a tweet from Bristol food writer Jenny Chandler: "So we all need to support these wonderful guys right now.
"You can order a fab Sunday roast to finish at home, loads of their fabulous tapas dishes, cheeses, jamón etc and pick up on Saturday lunchtime.
"Treat for you/supports @bar44bristol - win,win."
The restaurant is also offering Covid-friendly online Christmas parties.
You can book a cocktail masterclass (£27.50 per person), classic Spanish cook along (£40pp) or a Tudor-led sherry tasting with paired nibbles (£35pp).
