Bristol has recorded another triple-figure spike in coronavirus cases as the countdown to Tier 3 begins.
On the eve of the national lockdown ending and local tier restrictions taking over, the government has published the daily breakdown of new COVID-19 cases and deaths.
Bristol recorded a further 111 cases in the 24-hour period covered, which is up from 91 yesterday.
The death toll has also continued to creep up, with North Somerset recording the highest number of fatalities in the West of England today - four more people there have died within 28 days of testing positive.
Bristol has recorded a further two deaths, as has Bath and North East Somerset.
South Gloucestershire recorded three more deaths and the area's cases have also jumped up, with 64 new cases compared to 27 on Monday.

The daily rise is recorded below, with the accumulative figure since the pandemic began in brackets:
- Bath and North East Somerset: +29 (3,635)
- Bristol: +111 (15,386)
- North Somerset: +31 (4,131)
- South Gloucestershire: +64 (6,219)
Although Bristol's daily cases are up compared to Monday, they remain lower than they were during much of November, when the figure was regularly in excess of 300.
Across the UK, a further 13,430 cases were confirmed today, bringing the total number since the outbreak began to 1,643,086.
Another 603 people nationally have died, within 28 days of testing positive.
This brings the death toll to 59,051 - or 69,752 including all the cases where coronavirus is mentioned on the death certificate.
Tomorrow will see the national four-week lockdown end in place of the three-tier system, with Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire facing the strictest Tier 3 restrictions.
Bath and North East Somerset will be in Tier 2, with pubs and many other businesses allowed to reopen with precautions in place.
