Bristol protest: List of roads buses won't serve today

First Bus has confirmed the full list of roads it will not be serving this evening due to protest diversions.

The bus operator advised this morning its services would be "withdrawing from" the city centre between 4pm today (Tuesday, March 30) and 5am tomorrow, advising this was "due to a further protest march".

Protesters are expected to gather at College Green for the city's fourth 'Kill the Bill' protest - follow the latest updates on our live blog.

In an urgent message to passengers, First said: "ALL services will be withdrawn from the City Centre and Broadmead areas of Bristol".

It has now shared a full list with Bristol Live and on its website of the roads that it will be serving, and those that it will not:

First Bus not serving

  • Prince Street
  • Broad Quay
  • Colston Avenue
  • Horsefair
  • Haymarket
  • Lower Castle Street
  • Union Street
  • Penn Street
  • Broadweir
  • Park Street
  • Anchor Road
  • College Green
  • Rupert Street
  • Victoria Street
  • Lewins Mead
  • Nelson Street

First Bus will be serving

  • Redcliffe Way
  • Temple Way
  • Old Market
  • Bond Street
  • Marlborough Street
  • Upper Maudlin Street
  • Park Row

Changes have also been made for bus passengers using Stagecoach services. The 3X will arrive and terminate at Cabot Circus S1, the 13 will depart from Stokes Croft N1 at 5.40pm and 6.45pm and the 462 will start at Cabot Circus S1 & won't serve The Centre, Temple Meads or Lewins.

Stagecoach has not clarified exactly when these changes will be in operation.

South West Falcon also tweeted: "Due to the ongoing protest in Bristol City Centre we are unable to access the city. First bus will be accepting tickets on the A2 bus service for the 1630, 1830, 2030 journeys from Bristol and the 1637 1847 from the Airport."
