Bristol Morrisons petrol station staff held up by knife-wielding robber

Police are hunting a knife-wielding robber who threatened staff at a petrol station shop in Bristol

The robbery happened on Monday night (March 1) just after 9.35pm.

A man walked into the Morrisons/Texaco petrol station on Kingsweston Avenue in Shirehampton and threatened staff with a knife and demanded money.

"He was described as a white man with a grey beard," a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said.

"His face was covered. He wore a navy jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers, and was carrying a large blue carrier bag," she added.

"If you were in the area at around that time and have any information or dashcam or other footage which could help, call 101 quoting reference 5221044441.

"Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never tell the police who you are, just what you know," she added.
