Bristol PCSO Warren Rodgers dies suddenly

Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to one of Bristol's longest serving PCSOs who died suddenly from a heart attack.

Warren Rodgers was off-duty when he suffered the cardiac arrest on August 23.

To honour the much-loved officer's life, Avon and Somerset's headquarters flew its flag at half-mast.

Chief Inspector, Mark Runacres: “We are greatly saddened to share the news that PCSO Warren Rodgers, a member of our police family, suffered a fatal heart attack while off duty on 23 August.

"PCSO Rodgers joined us in 2002 and was based at The Bridewell and more recently in Clifton.

"He was one of our longest-serving PCSOs and a much loved member of the team.

"His death has come as a great shock and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. As a mark of respect, the flag at Police HQ was flown at half-mast.”
