The second offering in the Bristol Old Vic series of collaborations with the city’s restaurants has been cancelled.
The “Bristol Old Vic Presents” pop-up food series began this summer with the partnership of two food favourites, Pizzarova and Grano Kitchen, taking over the venue's dining space.
Popular Westbury Park eatery, Littlefrench, had been scheduled to run a pop-up event at Bristol Old Vic until February 2022.

However, due to “circumstances beyond their control”, Bristol Old Vic and Littlefrench have cancelled their collaboration.
Bristol Old Vic’s Executive Director Charlotte Geeves said: “We have quickly come to realise the huge amount of organisation, staffing and time needed to integrate the highest culinary standards with the pressures of pre-show dining.
“Blending both businesses seamlessly to create a unique theatre version of Littlefrench for Bristol Old Vic’s visitors has proved impossible to realise at this time.
"We remain huge admirers of each other’s work and wish each other every success moving forward.”
Chef Freddy Bird’s much-loved Littlefrench – renamed for the residency as “littlevic” – was due to serve a one-off menu containing seasonal dishes.
Bristol Old Vic “remains committed” to combining theatre with an in-house dining experience and confirmed they will be delivering a new menu from October 21.
They also stated that anyone with restaurant bookings for the 18 to 20 October will be contacted today.
