A Mrs Hinch fan from Bristol has shared an incredibly cheap way to keep carpets looking pristine.
Posting in the Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook group , Megan White claimed her £5 broom was just as effective as much pricier vacuum cleaners.
She also posted a photo of the pile of hair she managed to sweep up using the broom which she bought from B&M.
She added in the post, which has been liked nearly 1,000 times, that it was also more eco-friendly compared to other methods.
Posting on Facebook, Megan wrote: "All the work of the rubber broom, no electricity and not much more effort.
"No harmful batteries (lithium ion are really environmentally damaging), no excess packaging, no payment plans. They’re great, I have no idea why people don’t use them all the time!?"
Many were impressed with the tip, with one person commenting: Best thing I ever bought the satisfaction when you get all the hair up."
Another said: "I bought the wonder broom from the range which is essentially the same thing. It’s great, particularly for hair."
However, others were concerned that the broom pales in comparison to using a vacuum cleaner.
One person argued: "Yeah it will drag up what’s on the surface but not the dirt in the carpet pile "
A second commenter said: "Yeah only problem with that is it only cleans the surface, doesn’t get the dust and dirt out from down in the pile."
