Bristol MC who was jailed in his absence is finally behind bars

An MC who has performed in many clubs around Bristol as been jailed - finally.

Trevor Allen was absent from Bristol Crown Court when a jury convicted him of several offences including robbery.

After his failure to appear at court police in Bristol and London put out an appeal for his whereabouts.

Last month, having still not been located, he was jailed in his absence by the Recorder Mr Robert Bright QC for two years and three months.

The 42-year-old, of Templeton Close in Hackney, was found guilty of controlling and coercive behaviour, common assault, robbery and attempted escape.

He admitted two charges of causing criminal damage.

Today (April 15, 2019) the court heard he was located at an address in Hackney and arrested.

Judge Michael Longman jailed him for an additional four weeks for not answering to bail.

Earlier Edward Hetherington, prosecuting, said Allen met mum-of-two Lisa Woodbury online before living with her in Bristol.

Though things started well he went on to assault her and became jealous and controlling.

Mr Hetherington told the court he monitored her mobile phone use and accompanied her when she was out.

When she worked he demanded photographic proof of her whereabouts, the court heard.

Mr Hetherington said: "He made threats that if she was unfaithful he would harm himself and her and any man."

Allen went on to damage Miss Woodbury's home by punching a wall, the court heard.

When he performed at a club in Swindon Miss Woodbury reported him for assault to police and they advised her to leave home, which she did with her children and pets.

In the meantime Allen went to Swindon railway station in the early hours, before getting a cab to Bristol for £80.

But, having demanded a cabbie called Rahaman to drive faster, when he got to Bristol he demanded the money back  - saying if he didn't get it he might kill the driver.

Police called in found Allen at Miss Woodbury's front door, where he called her and invited her to listen as he damaged her property.

When police went to arrest him he tried to run but was detained, the court heard.

He told them his relationship with Miss Woodbury was punctuated by arguments and he accepted causing damage at her home.

He said the cabbie had actually tried to increase the price of the fare on him.

David Scutt, defending, said Allen's controlling and coercive behaviour amounted to 28 days.

He said the robbery was nasty but spontaneous.

Mr Scutt, who was unable to take instructions from his absent client, said: "He is plainly not wealthy and plainly not sohpisticated."
