Bristol marketing agency announces new chief executive as part of management shake-up

A Bristol marketing agency that counts Lego, Subway and Haribo among its customers has announced a major restructure of its senior management team including the appointment of a new chief executive.

Fiora, which is based on St George's Road in the city and also has an office in Shoreditch in London, has confirmed changes across six senior roles within the company.

Founder David Wenn will move into the role of chief executive while Matt Rees has been promoted from planning director to managing director. Mr Wenn's new role will focus on the strategic growth of Fiora and its partner companies, the firm said.

Mick Brigdale, who has 30 years' experience working with brands including Very, Unilever and Mars, has also joined the business as creative director. Fiora has also appointed Costas Michalia as strategy and innovation director; promoted Leanne Buffery to client services director; appointed co-founder Angela Pace as client relationships director; and promoted Joanne Ledwidge to financial director.

“We’ve restructured to maximise the performance of our clients’ projects and campaigns, delivering them with skill and efficiency,” said Mr Wenn.

Fiora was relaunched in 2019 when Mr Wenn brought together four agencies - Creation, Crab, Site Reach and Info Group - to build an integrated team without the need to outsource, he said.

Mr Rees added: “I’ve done the best work of my career at Fiora – we partner with great clients and have a supportive, talented team of highly experienced people. I am very proud and excited to be a part of this fantastic, entrepreneurial agency.”

Mr Wenn said the team changes were "so exciting" after emerging from the pandemic period when the marketing landscape had "changed so much".

He added: "I’m confident these promotions will open many more opportunities for our clients and the team. Here at Fiora, with these changes in place, we’ve hand picked the right experts to head up the divisions required to achieve shared success for our clients and our team."
