Bristol man named after being fatally trapped under parked car

A man who died after getting trapped under a car has been named as Ross Stadden.

The 33-year-old from north Bristol was found with serious injuries at about 5.20pm on Wednesday, February 3.

Emergency services had to free Mr Stadden from underneath a parked car on Southmead Road, between Doncaster Road and Wellington Hill.

They took Mr Stadden to Southmead Hospital, where he died on February 8.

Police referred the matter to Avon Coroner's Court. An officer at the court has confirmed Mr Stadden's name to Bristol Live.

The officer said: "We are very much in the early stages. It's likely there will need to be an inquest, but it's not confirmed."
