A Bristol man hid a bag of crack cocaine in his mouth after he was chased by police for failing to stop for a drug search.
On February 11, police officers saw Toyan Young, 30, approach drug users in St Pauls and moved towards him with the intention of carrying out a search.
But Young immediately ran from police, who said they witnessed him put a black package in his mouth before he was eventually detained.

One officer said he saw Young spit out the package, which was later found to contain 0.6 grams of crack cocaine.
Young appeared in court yesterday (Tuesday, August 17), pleading guilty to possession of a class A drug and for breaching his suspended sentence.
He had been handed a suspended sentence last July for a count of robbery committed in February, the court heard, in which it was alleged a bladed article had been used.

Speaking at Bristol Crown Court, Judge Blair told Young he can expect a prison sentence if he commits another offence.
“I need to warn you that you’re playing with fire and if you’re back in this court for another offence in breach of a suspended sentence, there will be very little options for a judge," he said.
“I will give you that chance to prove yourself."
Young was ordered to pay a £150 fine for possession of a class A drug, a £50 fine for breaching his suspended sentence, and a victim surcharge of £50.
