A Bristol entrepreneur has been named among 20 business women to watch in 2020 by business banking app Tide.
Della Hudson is an accountant, business adviser and author of The Numbers Business , which was named best specialist book at the Business Book Awards last year.
She says she is “quite overwhelmed” to be named on the list.
She said: “I still can't quite believe that I've been included in such an elite group. Daily life is pretty busy juggling work and kids but every now and then I'll remember and a big grin will come over my face.
“It just goes to show what can be achieved by breaking the seemingly impossible down into small, manageable steps."
Before becoming a business coach and writer, Della was the owner of her own accountancy practice.
She scaled the business and sold it before writing about her experiences “to support other professionals to do the same”.
Della was also ranked 23 in Accountancy Age’s Top 50 Women in Finance in 2019 and was shortlisted as Personality of the Year by professional bookkeeping body the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers.
She added: “I am spending my isolation juggling children, business, and finishing my third book Growing by Numbers: how to scale up your business with confidence’ which is due for publication this summer.”
She is also running a free finance for business owners online course throughout March and April to help companies through the coronavirus outbreak.
