Bristol Disco Festival comes to the city for the first time

This September the first edition of a Disco festival will be introduced to the Bristol music scene.

Lakota nightclub will be exploring the genre of Disco music across 5 extravagant stages, for festival goers to attend their day or night celebrations or both if they fancy partying into the early hours of the morning.

The extensive line up will be full of local talent showcasing their musical flair, including BURNO, Dad Bod Boogie, Billy Spira and many more to add to the mix.

A spokesperson for Lakota said: “This festival is the chance to delve into discovering something new whilst celebrating beloved classics.”

The festivities will have the captivating Romare headlining, who will be serving a dedicated Disco set on the Main Stage, as well as pro-Disco, pro-equality group English Disco Lovers.

For James , 27, Managing Director, curating a Disco festival is a dream come true, due to his love for Disco music. He promises the festival will be full of surprises: “This is gonna be a wicked event. We’re going all out with it. There’s a secret party that we've got going on somewhere.

“We’ve got some drag queens coming down as well, so the production for it is going to be really good.”

The Lakota team have promised that 'more surpises are on the way' for the Festival (Bristol)

But, the festival won’t just be taking place at the Lakota Courtyard, but also at the Coroners Court and Stokes Croft Beer Garden.
