More than 1,700 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in our region, according to the latest official figures.
UK Health Security Agency - formerly Public Health England - case data published on Saturday evening (October 16) shows the biggest rise - 638 - was in Bristol itself.
No further Covid-related deaths were reported in today's update, and the total across the region stands at 1,500.

Nationally, a further 148 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Saturday, bringing the UK total to 138,527.
As of 9am on Saturday, there had been a further 43,423 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said.
The daily updates do not show deaths which necessarily took place in the last 24 hour period - it is simply when the data is recorded.

The total number of cases confirmed in each region around Bristol since the pandemic began, with the daily rise in brackets, are as follows:
- City of Bristol - 62,684 (+638)
North Somerset: 21,348 (+320)
- South Gloucestershire - 32,342 (+431)
Bath and North East Somerset: 20,489 (+342)
Total daily increase: +1,731
