In Bristol itself, one new death within 28 days of a positive Covid test was recorded, along with 98 new cases.

The figures are a reminder that the coronavirus remains a threat to some people and that it is still circulating in the UK.

It is worth remembering the daily updates do not show deaths and cases which necessarily took place in the last 24 hour period - it is simply when the data is recorded.
