Bristol City youngsters join Chelsea, West Ham and others in FA Youth Cup fourth round

Bristol City's U18 side are through to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup after coming from behind to beat ten-man Nottingham Forest.

City fell behind to a Dale Taylor strike early on, with the Forest man firing home from the edge of the area.

However, City did not let that deter them and the young Robins soon settled into the game, with captain Alex Scott levelling the scores from the penalty spot.

City were then given the numerical advantage as Forest's Jordan Fankwe was shown a second yellow card for a late challenge just before the half hour mark.

The visitors then took the lead before the break, with City substitute Henry scoring what would ultimately prove to be the winner.

Henry, who replaced Joe Porton early on in the game after he was forced off injured, showed composure to finish when put through on goal, with his effort deflecting in off Oli Hammond to give the Robins the lead.

Both sides had chances in the second half, with Scott going close with a free kick, before Forest hit the post through Aaron Donnelly.

City goalkeeper James Walker also had to be alert to keep the hosts at bay as Forest pressed for an equaliser.

The Robins could have sealed it on the break late on, but Seb Palmer-Houlden was unable to find the net.

However, City had done enough to seal a place in the fourth round, with the Robins now awaiting their fate in the last 32.

Chelsea, West Ham and Southampton are among the clubs to have already booked places in the fourth round.
