Bristol City vs Manchester City: FA Cup date, kick-off time, ticket prices, TV details confirmed

Bristol City will host Manchester City at Ashton Gate on Tuesday, February 28 with the FA Cup fifth round tie kicking off at 8pm and broadcast live on ITV.

The FA has confirmed the date of the early-anticipated encounter, after the Robins were drawn with the reigning Premier League champions on Monday.

City have also released ticket prices and when they'll be available to purchase, with Ashton Gate likely to be a 27,000 sell out. Adult prices ranges from £48 as the most expensive in the Lansdown Stand to £30 as the cheapest in the family section. With Under-12 seats from £15 to £23, and seniors from £27 to £45.

Season ticket holders will be given first priority on Monday, February 6, following members who have bought tickets for four or more matches this season, then normal members, then general admission on Thursday, February 16. You can read more and apply for club membership HERE

City have reached this stage of the competition after wins over Swansea City and West Brom and it’s the first time they’ve faced Pep Guardiola’s side since a two-legged Carabao Cup semi-final in 2018 which the top-flight club won 5-3 on aggregate before beating Arsenal in the final.

City are currently second in the Premier League, five points behind Arsenal, but so far in the FA Cup Guardiola has selected strong sides and is expected to do the same later this month.

Speaking on Thursday, City manager Nigel Pearson admitted it’s a hugely exciting prospect for the club but also remains focused on the league campaign with five Championship matches over the next four weeks.

“It's a good draw for the club,” Pearson said. “I think it's an exciting one for the fans and the players to look forward to, but we've got a month of football before that fixture. In the Championship that is a lot of performances to take care of.

“So it's nice that it is something to look forward to but in the meantime it's about making sure our Championship form improves, and I think we're in a better position after the (transfer) window to try and make some positive moves.”

City added three new signings over the January transfer window in goalkeeper Nikita Haikin and forwards Harry Cornick and Anis Mehmeti but the latter two are cup tied for the game against Manchester City having played earlier in the competition for Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers, respectively.
