Bristol City welcome Northampton Town to Ashton Gate for their third match inside 11 days, a sentence that is likely to be uttered several times over the course of this season, such are the demands of the schedule.
Of course, that's based on the Robins progressing in the Carabao Cup and while head coach Dean Holden will undoubtedly make several changes tonight, it's a competition they want to do well in.

City are without six first-team players for the visit of the Cobblers with Nathan Baker (hamstring) out long term, Jay Dasilva (calf/shin) set to see a specialist, Joe Williams and Liam Walsh (both thigh) are not yet training but Callum O'Dowda (groin) and Joe Morrell (calf) are.
Assistant head coach Paul Simpson has stated there will be changes from the XI that started against Coventry last Saturday to help manage minutes among regulars and build up match fitness for those who haven't been involved as much.

Curle: "The message we give to our players is yes, we're up against good players but they don't like being closed down and they don't like playing League One football so we need to make them uncomfortable and make them play our style of football.
"If we want to compete with them, they've got better players than us, so we need to make them compete the way that we want to play."
