Bristol City to limit the away fans in the Atyeo Stand for vital Derby County game

Bristol City have announced that seats are for sale in the Atyeo Stand for the upcoming final home match of the regular Championship season.

Derby County are the last side to visit BS3 this season and Robins supporters will be hoping that there is one more home game to come, should Lee Johnson's team be able to hold on to their position in the top six of the league this season.

A large crowd is expected for the final home game and 22,000 seats have already been sold for the clash.

And due to demand, the club has now explained that seats will be available in the Atyeo Stand for home supporters - like they were for the matches against Manchester United and Manchester City during the Robins' good EFL cup run last season.

Bristol City Chief Executive Officer Mark Ashton told the club's official website : “We are in a really strong position and every cheer and chant will make a difference to the players.

“With that in mind we have made a section of the Atyeo Stand available for the Derby County match for our fans so that we can truly make the Gate a cauldron of noise.”

One fan of this news will be Lee Johnson after the head coach suggested that Ashton Gate should consider moving the location of the away fans for team performance reasons.

Bristol City have also announced that they have sold more than 14,000 season tickets for next season already too.

Our understanding is that the club are hoping to reach a total of 17,000 and they remain on course to get near this record figure.
