Bristol City star named one of the best players in EFL alongside Leeds United and Aston Villa stars

Adam Webster has been include in Four Four Two magazine's 51 best players in the EFL.

The centre-back has been a standout player for Bristol City since signing for the Robins from Ipswich Town last summer.

He has helped the Robins to carve out one of the best defensive records in the Championship this season, and has now been named the 30th-best player in the EFL by the magazine.

Four Four Two praised Webster's partnership with Tomas Kalas at the heart of the Robins' defence and tipped him to play Premier League football.

They said: "Webster's partnership with Tomas Kalas has given the Robins one of the division's toughest defences.

"Comfortable engaging aerially and in one-on-one situations, he also has the quality on the ball that is required of a top defender. After his rise through the Football League with Portsmouth, Ipswich Town and now Bristol City, everything points to Premier League football for Webster in the years to come."

The surprising statistic that reveals why Bristol City can be confident of reaching the Championship play-offs

Former Robins Luke Freeman and Tammy Abraham also feature on the list - as do Sammie Szmodics and Kieffer Moore, both of whom have been linked with moves to Ashton Gate in recent months.
