Bristol City star heads to the Premier League; Leeds United join the race for Nottingham Forest target - latest Championship rumours

Bristol City star Lloyd Kelly has signed for Premier League side Bournemouth.

Sky Sports News believe the Cherries have paid a £13m fee for the defender, who was confirmed as a Bournemouth player on Saturday afternoon.

The 20-year-old left-back, who is also comfortable in the centre of defence, made 34 appearances for the Robins this season.

Leeds United are the latest Championship side interested in signing Portsmouth forward Jamal Lowe this summer.

According to the Daily Star, the Whites have joined West Brom and Middlesbrough in the hunt for the 24-year-old's signature.

Lowe scored 25 goals in 103 appearances for the South Coast club.

Ipswich Town are close to clinching a deal for goalkeeper Tomas Holy, according to the Mirror.

Nottingham Forest set to face League One opposition during Spanish pre-season trip

Holy, who stands at 6ft 9ins tall, is the world’s third tallest stopper, and will sign for the Tractor Boys once his contract with Gillingham ends next month.

The moves comes with Town set to sell their Polish international keeper Bartosz Bialkowski, who is their highest-paid player and is keen to remain in the Championship.

The Mirror are also reporting that Bristol City are set to sign Sammie Szmodics from Colchester.

Szmodics was the U’s top scorer this season and will sign for City once his contract with the League Two side runs out next month.

The Robins are thought to have pipped Championship rivals Reading to the 23-year-old's signature.

Martin Olsson, Leroy Fer, Luciano Narsingh, Wilfried Bony and Wayne Routledge are the high-profile names who have been released by Swansea City after seeing their contracts come to an end.

The Swans confirmed the news on Saturday morning in a statement released on their website.
