Bristol City set to agree deal for in-demand Hungarian midfielder - reports

Bristol City are set to tie up a deal for Hungarian midfielder Adam Nagy according to reports.

Nagy is currently at Bologna in Serie A, and Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio last night tweeted that the deal with the Robins has been done.

The 24-year-old is a holding midfielder who has won 33 caps for his country, scoring one goal.

He has been at Bologna since 2016 and was in demand this summer, with Serie A rivals US Lecce also having been linked with his signature.

Nagy was born in Budapest and spent time in various Hungarian youth sides before eventually coming through into Ferencváros' senior team in 2013.

His performances for the club were enough to earn him a place in Hungary's Euro 2016 squad, where he was hotly tipped to impress and, after the tournament, he was linked with the likes of Benfica and Leicester City.

Yet he instead went to Bologna and he has made 51 appearances in three seasons for the Italian squad, scoring once.

His arrival, combined with the signing of Han-Noah Massengo earlier this week, means that the Robins are fairly well stocked in the centre of midfield.
