Bristol City's Benik Afobe grabs EFL's attention with match-winning performance against Hull City

For the second week in a row a Bristol City player's performances have been recognised by the EFL.

Benik Afobe has been included in their team of the week following his brace against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

The deadline day arrival scored from the spot to make it 1-0 before wrapping up the win by converting a low Andi Weimann cross late on.

Those goals constituted his second and third strikes in four games for the Robins after he netted in the 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers .

Goalkeeper Daniel Bentley was put in the team of the week after that game , and Afobe's inclusion makes it two consecutive weeks that a Robins player has been in there.

The team is made up of the best performers from across the Football League that week.

The only other  Championship  players in the side are Nottingham Forest's Lewis Grabban and Daniel Johnson of Preston North End.

Marcelo Bielsa was named best managed in the Football League for that week and takes the reins of the dream team.

Afobe will hope to be firing on all cylinders when the Robins welcome Middlesbrough in the early kick-off on Saturday.
