Bristol City's 2020 summer transfer window net spend compared to other Championship clubs

Middlesbrough had the highest net spend over the summer transfer window out of all the teams in the Championship.

The summer window was a strange one - particularly for EFL clubs - due to the coronavirus pandemic having a huge impact on football clubs’ finances.

With no supporters allowed in the stadium, to try and stop the spread, teams have been unable to collect their usual matchday revenue - which has had a massively detrimental impact.

However, the 24 clubs still managed to spend some money as they looked to improve their squad for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

Below, we have a list of each team’s estimated net spend from the summer transfer window, with all information gathered from Transfermarkt.
