Bristol City reveal new home kit for the 2022/23 Championship season and it comes with a twist

Bristol City have unveiled their new home kit for the 2022/23 season with a firm nod to the 1950s with the addition of white sleeves for only the second time in the club's history.

City and Hummel have paid tribute to the Robins squad of 1954/55 who earned promotion from Division Three South under Pat Beasley and featured the legendary John Atyeo.

The shirt arrives 24 hours after City revealed their home and away goalkeeper tops for the forthcoming Championship campaign as the club enters a third season with their partnership with Hummel.

The kits also bear new sponsors Huboo with the Bristol-based e-logistics firm replacing Mansion Bet, having signed a multi-year deal in February.

The club crest returns to the left side of the shirt, having been in the centre last season while an England flag adorns the back of the neck to signify an English-owned club, with an embossed Robin sitting at the lower back. The socks are also hooped red and white, as was the case in 1954/55.

Antoine Semenyo, Andi Weimann and Jay Dasilva and Bristol City Women's players Chloe Bull, Ella Power, Ffion Morgan and Lia Cataldo launched the kit in a one-minute 50s-style promotion video.
